Open Joint Stock Company United Chemical Company URALCHEM is announcing that it has set fixed wholesale prices for Russian agricultural producers who purchase mineral fertilizers on the basis of direct agreements. The prices for this category of the company’s consumers will be reduced by more then 10% in comparison with the market prices.  

This decision is taken by the company in order to stimulate the demand for mineral fertilizers at the internal market. The URALCHEM’s initiative will let the Russian agricultural consumers avoid some expenses related to acquisition of mineral fertilizers in the beginning of sowing season.  

According to Dmitriy Konyayev, Commercial Director of URALCHEM, «the company is interested in balanced and sustainable development of agribusiness in Russia. Reduced and fixed prices for agrochemicals sold to agriculture will reduce the costs of agricultural production. The fixed prices will be valid throughout the whole period of spring agricultural works of 2008 so that the agricultural producers will be proof against any leaps in prices for mineral fertilizers during the period of increased seasonal demand for these products».

URALCHEM supplies the internal market with 25% of its production, and export sales amount to 75%.
