Uralchem Group Signs a Memorandum for the Supply of Fertilisers to China

Uralchem Group and Xinjiang Golden Pomegranate Agricultural Import and Export Co. LTD, a Chinese importer of mineral fertilisers, signed a memorandum of understanding. The signing ceremony took place on 13 January 2024 in Urumqi, China, and was attended by representatives of approximately 130 Chinese agricultural producers interested in purchasing Uralchem Group’s products.

The memorandum reflects the parties’ intentions to supply monoammonium phosphate (MAP) and compound (NPK) fertilisers to China in 2024-2026. The total volume of such supplies is expected to reach 600,000 tonnes in three years. The cargoes will be carried by rail.

Dmitry Konyaev, CEO of Uralchem JSC:

China is a global agricultural leader and one of the world’s largest consumers of mineral fertilisers. For Uralchem Group, the People’s Republic of China is a strategic partner, and we intend to further expand our relations. In addition to shipments by sea, we deliver our products to China by railway, which gives us a unique advantage in supplying the areas of China located deeper inland. We welcome this memorandum, which is another step in the development of our long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with Chinese partners.
