URALCHEM Celebrated Chemists Day

Moscow, Russia – 30 May 2012. Last week URALCHEM held big celebrations for the professional Chemists Day at four of its enterprises: Azot Branch in Berezniki, Perm Mineral Fertilizers JSC in Perm, MFP Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Works in Kirovo-Chepetsk and Voskresensk Mineral Fertilisers in the Moscow region.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of URALCHEM, OJSC Dmitry Mazepin congratulated the chemists, thanked them for their work and wished them further success. He noted that chemistry is a basic segment of the Russian economy, and working in such a complex industry requires a high level of skill, commitment and responsibility.

In Perm, Berezniki, Kirovo-Chepetsk and Voskresensk, traditional celebrations were held with the participation of the Company's management, at which long-service employees and top professionals were honoured. Festivities for the Company’s employees, their families and local communities included free amusement parks, contests with numerous prizes and performances by pop stars, all of which were sponsored by URALCHEM.

More than 800 of URALCHEM’s best chemists were awarded government, industry and regional awards, granted honorary signs, letters of thanks and certificates. The chemists’ names were included in the books of honour of their enterprises.
