URALCHEM, OJSC participated in the largest UK agricultural event, Cereals 2010 that took place at Royston on June 9 and 10.

Cereals is the leading event for the UK arable industry with over 64 hectares of stands and live demonstrations including Crop Plots, Working Cultivations, Sprays and Sprayers, Post-Harvest Technology, Business Alley, Potatoes and Renewable crops. Over 400 suppliers came together to be part of this year’s event visited by more than 26 thousand people during the two working days.

This being the second year of URALCHEM’s presence at Cereals, the company updated the customers on its improved product line for the British and Irish markets.

Ekaterina Shutaleva, lead specialist of the URALCHEM’s Business Development Division, notes that the participation of the company in this main agricultural show in the UK is a new step in URALCHEM’s development in the world market. “Our company has become a significant player in one of the largest markets representing worthy competition to the world’s mineral fertiliser producers and our presence in the UK market is expanding rapidly”, Ekaterina Shutaleva observed.

Graham Dunn, URALCHEM's agent in the UK and Ireland, endorsed Ms Shutaleva's comments and said that the discriminating buyers in the UK and Ireland were becoming increasingly impressed by the product quality and logistics service provided by URALCHEM and appreciated the commitment to their market that URALCHEM showed in exhibiting at Cereals 2010.

In 2009 URALCHEM joined the Agricultural Industries Confederation, an organization that brings together leading sectors of the supply industry. Registered in the United Kingdom, the Confederation is increasingly recognised, not just by the membership but by regulators and politicians across the European Union.
