URALCHEM is a partner of VII Russian Innovations Contest held by Expert

On 5 June, 2008 in Moscow, the Grand Rewarding Ceremony for winners of VII Russian Innovations Contest took place in the Central House of Scientists. URALCHEM has become a partner of the contest.

The Ceremony programme included rewarding the best projects in the traditional categories: Innovate Project, Progressive Project, Innovation in Nanotechnologies, Industrial Innovation, and Consumer Market Innovation.

Mikhail Genkin, Business Development Director of URALCHEM, OJSC presented a special prize in the category Best Industrial Project to the team from Novosibirsk Thermophysics Institute for development of LDDM System for Gas-Liquid Flow Diagnosis.

Mikhail Genkin said: “Russian Innovation Contest is a good tradition. Over 5 years, it has helped innovators and business people find each other and show the prospects of future innovative development in our Country. Being aware that the innovative development should be one of our priorities, URALCHEM was pleased to become a partner of the contest this year. We’re also ready to support innovate projects in future.”

The projects are appraised by the Contest expert council. The council includes representatives from the state authorities in charge of innovative policy; scientists and experts in various fields of science, engineering and technology; business people; financial experts; companies’ representatives. Andrey Frusenko, Science and Education Minister; Mikhail Kovalchuk, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academic Secretary of the Council for Science and High Technology; Vladimir Nakoryakov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of Advanced Study Institute; Yuriy Zhuravlev, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Konstantin Skryabin, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences are among the members of expert council.
