URALCHEM and Uralkali presented the Sirius Concert and Theatre Complex project to SPIEF visitors

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum hosted the presentation of the Sirius Concert and Theatre Complex, the collaborative project from 'Talent and Success' Educational Foundation, URALCHEM and Uralkali; the complex is planned for construction in Sochi in 2021. The event was attended by the Head of the 'Talent and Success' Foundation and a member of the Presidential Council for Science and Education, Elena Shmeleva; Chairman of the Board of Directors of URALCHEM, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uralkali, Dmitry Mazepin; Director of URALCHEM's project bureau, Valentina Kolodinskaya; and Artistic Director of the 'Talent and Success' Educational Foundation, Hans-Joachim Frey.

The new complex will be part of the multifunctional centre for education, science and arts, called Sirius, which is located in the Main Media Centre of Sochi. The general designer of the complex is LLC AECOM. The main hall of the concert and theatre complex will accommodate up to 1,200 spectators, and the small hall will hold up to 300. The leading acoustics consultant is Yasuhisa Toyota, a world-renowned expert in this field who contributed to a large number of concert hall and theatre projects around the world. Kunkel Consulting (Germany) is in charge of the stage equipment. Advanced technical solutions will guarantee optimal functionality and ample opportunities for concerts and classical music festivals, opera, ballet and theatrical performances of virtually any touring companies from Russia and abroad.

In 2017, URALCHEM, together with the 'Talent and Success' Foundation, delivered a charity project in the field of education on the basis of the Sirius Centre: they presented an interdisciplinary programme prepared by the company's employees, who also acted as educators to a group of students from the centre.

The main purpose of the Sirius Educational Centre is the early discovery, development and further professional support of gifted children who have demonstrated outstanding abilities in the field of arts, sport and natural sciences and in technical creativity.
