URALCHEM, JSC participated in the IV SOCAR International Caspian and Central Asia Downstream Forum on Trading, Logistics, Refining and Petrochemicals, which was held in Baku, Azerbaijan from 22 to 25 April with the support of SOCAR state oil company.

The event was attended by over 300 delegates, including representatives of the largest oil and gas companies, refineries, trading houses, terminals and analytical agencies.

Representatives of the Company’s Marketing Directorate and Trading House URALCHEM, LLC made their reports as part of the business programme. They presented various products manufactured by the holding: Exigas®, a hydrating inhibitor for gas production and transportation (made by HaloPolymer), and premium calcium nitrate used in preparing heavy liquids and drilling muds for oil recovery. They also demonstrated the economic feasibility of the transition from methanol to Exigas® and showed alternative high-marginal areas of methanol application. The proposed approach is in line with SOCAR’s (Azerbaijan) long-term development strategy, which provides for the expansion of the sales’ geography of oil products and higher business marginality due to the deeper conversion of petroleum synthesis products.

URALCHEM’s delegates also met representatives of leading oil and gas companies from the CIS and other countries. The Company’s products sparked great interest among forum participants and business people resulting in several agreements on further cooperation.

The SOCAR International Forum is the largest event in the Caspian region intended for executives and employees of oil and gas companies in charge of sales, trading and transportation of oil, gas, petroleum and petrochemical products. The forum has been held annually since 2016.
