Uralchem to Make a Humanitarian Shipment of Fertilisers to Burkina Faso
Uralchem JSC (the Company), one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of nitrogen, potash and complex fertilisers, shipped over 23,000 tonnes of the NPK 27:6:6 product to Lomé, the capital of the Togolese Republic, from where the fertilisers will be transported to Burkina Faso. The shipment was made completely free of charge and is part of Uralchem’s humanitarian project to supply fertilisers to African countries.
The humanitarian project responds to UN Sustainable Development Goal No 2 (End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture). Despite the blocking of the Company’s humanitarian fertiliser shipments by the EU, Uralchem intends to ship its products to the African continent from Russian ports.
