Uralchem Group Presents Nutrition Systems for Tropical Crops in Vietnam

Uralchem Group presented its agricultural solutions in Can Tho province, Vietnam, located in the heart of the Mekong Delta. The event was attended by approximately 100 owners of retail chains and fertiliser distribution outlets from the country’s biggest agricultural region. 

The retailers were introduced to tailored comprehensive nutrition systems along with two key products: the complex fertiliser Uralchem NPK 16-16-16 and the granular potash product Uralchem gMOP. These solutions will help local farmers improve the yield and quality of rice and tropical crops. 

The Mekong Delta is a key agricultural region of Vietnam, producing 50% of the country’s rice and 70% of its fruit. The region has also become a global durian hub: exports of this fruit reached USD 3.3 billion in 2024, representing an almost 8-fold increase in just two years. 

Vietnam’s market for complex NPK fertilisers reached approximately 3.8 million tonnes in 2025 to become the second-largest market in South-East Asia. Traditionally, Russia is a key supplier of NPK fertilisers to Vietnam, accounting for about 40% of total imports. Uralchem Group aims to further develop its supply in this promising segment and strengthen its brand position.
