SPIEF-2026: Uralchem Group’s Stand Merges Art and Sport

03.06.2026

Uralchem unveiled its stand at the 2026 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026), styled after classical Greek architecture and featuring a large-scale floral panel dedicated to aquatic sports, the aesthetics of movement, and human potential. The stand’s concept is entitled The Art of Water

The theme was chosen deliberately as sport constitutes a vital part of corporate culture and is one of the key pillars of charitable and social activities of Uralchem Group, which also serves as a sponsor of the Russian Water Sports Federation.

The composition, depicting a female athlete in a cap bearing the Russian tricolour, symbolises the return of the country’s swimmers to the international arena. The panel was crafted from over 120,000 fresh-cut flowers — carnations and chrysanthemums in various shades — all grown in Russia. Around 120 florists worked on it, and still the assembly of the composition required over 100 hours of continuous work.

The stand space is complemented by an enveloping video sequence featuring footage of synchronised swimmers, inspired by scenes from world-renowned ballets, including Swan LakeGiselle, and Don Quixote

The creation of the video project involved complex underwater filming, in which 16 synchronised swimmers participated. The athletes performed some of the elements wearing ballet tutus and pointe shoes, fusing the technique of synchronised swimming with the artistic imagery of classical ballet. The video sequence explores the theme of synergy between sport and art through the plasticity of movement and the visual aesthetics of water.

Complementing the stand’s concept, a special issue of Around the World magazine has been prepared. This publication is Russia’s oldest magazine and celebrates its 165th anniversary this year. The special issue was produced jointly with the Russian Water Sports Federation and the Shkulev Holding media company, and is devoted to the history and cultural code of aquatic sports in Russia — from swimming and diving to synchronised swimming and water polo — as well as their connection with art.

The stand continues Uralchem Group’s long-standing SPIEF tradition of creating grand-scale floral installations, which become some of the most prominent and widely discussed focal points of the Forum year after year.

As in previous years, the flowers from the panel will be presented to female visitors on the final day of SPIEF-2026.
