Dmitriy Osipov, Chief Executive Officer of URALCHEM, OJSC commented: “The fact that URALCHEM is one of the first mineral fertilizer producers in Russia to pre-register its products in accordance with REACH once again proves that our Company is a reliable and responsible partner which efficiently operates in the global markets.”

*REACH is the new Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals introduced by the European Union. According to the new regulation, all chemicals imported to the territory of the European Union must be registered with the European Chemicals Agency (ECA). The registration process comprises preliminary registration (pre-registration) (June 1, 2008 to December 1, 2008) and full registration (the terms depend on the volume of export to the European Union). The companies which fail to register with the ECA will not be able to export their products to the European Union after the indicated date.
